bryteLabs ("we," "us," "our") operates bryteNotes, a mobile application for capturing and organizing personal thoughts, with an optional AI reflection feature called Spark. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
If you have questions about this policy, contact us at contact@brytelabs.app.
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and a password (handled securely through our authentication provider, Supabase — we never see or store your password in plain text).
Content you create. This includes the thoughts/notes you write, the folders you organize them into, any custom folder names or colors you choose, and any photos you choose to attach to a note.
Spark AI chat. If you use the Spark feature to reflect on a thought, we collect the messages you send and the AI-generated replies, along with the note content (and, if you've attached photos to that note, the photos themselves) that started the conversation, in order to provide that feature and maintain your conversation history across devices.
Usage and preference data. We store your capture streak, total note count, onboarding status, and app preferences (such as light/dark theme and whether you prefer to open the app straight into capture mode), so the app behaves consistently for you across sessions.
We do not collect: location data, contacts, advertising identifiers, or any data through third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. bryteNotes does not display ads and does not sell data to advertisers.
We use the information above to:
We use the following infrastructure providers to operate bryteNotes:
We do not share your personal notes, photos, or account information with any other third party except as required by law.
Your data is protected by database-level access controls (Row-Level Security) that restrict every account's data — notes, folders, profile, photo attachments, and AI chat history — to that account alone. No other user of bryteNotes can access your data through the app. Photo attachments are stored in a private file storage bucket with the same per-account access restriction.
Data is stored on servers located in the United States.
Deleted notes are retained for 30 days (visible in "Recently Deleted") to allow recovery, after which they and any photos attached to them are permanently purged.
You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings. This removes all of your notes, folders, photo attachments, profile data, and AI chat history, along with your login credentials. This action is irreversible.

bryteNotes is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at contact@brytelabs.app and we will delete it.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We'll update the effective date above when we do. Continued use of bryteNotes after changes means you accept the revised policy.
